Basic Machine Shop Machinist Training/Basic Machine Shop
Machinist training includes hands-on experience in:
• lathes
• vertical and horizontal mills
• surface grinders
• bench operations
• shop math
• blueprint reading
• no prior experience required
Introduction to CNC Operations
Machinist/CNC Operations & Programming
• Basic concepts of the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) operation
of machine tools
• Interpretation of program manuscripts
• Safe shop practices
• Hands-on operation of CNC Vertical Mills and CNC Slant Bed Lathe
• Training provided on industry leading HAAS Mills and Lathes
• Computer simulations of multiple controllers
• Advanced shop math
Prerequisites: Basic Machine Shop course and instructor’s approval.
Introduction to CAD/CAM Programming
Machinist/Introduction to CAD/CAM Programming (3783)(061217):
• Basic operations of MASTERCAM-X or GIBBSCAM as applied to the machining industry.
• Program is designed for both the computer literate and non-computer student.
Prerequisites: Prior CNC Operations & Programming and instructor’s approval.
